Forest Therapy is a form of "forest bathing" that reinvigorates the mind and body, leading to better health.
Kanagawa Prefectural Nanasawa Forest Park Atelier office
Kanagawa Prefectural Nanasawa Forest Park's Atelier office is a workshop in the forest where you can try your hand at pottery making (pottery wheel and Raku ware), woodworking and "tree branch" crafts. Children love the various hands-on experiences while surrounded by nature.
Iiyama Trail Running Course
Set around the nature-rich Higashi-Tanzawa Mountains and Iiyamahakusan Forest Park, these trail run courses are especially spectacular from late November to early December during the fall foliage season.
Strawberry Picking (Atsugi City)
Strawberry picking is available from around January to May. Strawberries of various kinds are offered on an all-you-can-eat basis for half an hour. Since it can get very crowded on Saturdays, Sundays and national holidays, we recommend making reservations early. The new Kanakomachi variety may be on hand.
Megumi vegecafe
Megumi vegecafe offers dishes that incorporate organic and pesticide-free seasonal vegetables produced in Atsugi. Visitors can taste the freshness of vegetables procured locally. The caf? also has a kids' space.
Botan Nabe
Botan Nabe (wild boar hot pot) is full of collagen and warms both body and soul. In Atsugi City, this dish is available mainly from around October to March at ryokan (Japanese-style inns) in A tsugi Onsen Village, as well as at restaurants in Nanasawa.
Junrei Pass
Junrei Pass is a pilgrimage route from Iizumi (No. 5) to Iiyama (No. 6) of the Bando 33 Kannon Pilgrimage. Many pilgrims have crossed the pass from Nanasawa to Kamifurusawa.
Onso River
The Onso River is a tributary of the Sagami River system. Originating in Kamifurusawa, Atsugi City, it flows southeastward to join the Tama River. There is a water park near Jizo Bridge, and the river's embankment is also a pedestrian walkway.
Wakamiya Park
At Wakamiya Park, relax and enjoy cherry blossoms in the spring and various activities in the large fields and the riverbanks in the summer. In April and May, a school of carp streamers swim in the skies to create a vibrant sight.

The prefecture's largest urban park, Kanagawa Prefectural Nanasawa Forest Park serves as the base for Forest Therapy? activities. In addition to the fall foliage that stretches as far as Tanzawa, visitors can enjoy various other activities such as adventure playgrounds, pottery making (pottery wheel and Raku ware) and crafting.
Atsugi Kodomonomori Park
In addition to a long slide and aerial footbridge, Atsugi Kodomonomori Park hosts many adventure activity programs so that both kids and adults can learn while having fun throughout the year, such as a nature observation session to encounter various wildlife and agricultural experience to learn about coexistence with animals.
Nanbanya Garden Coffee Bean Roasting Factory
At the Nanbanya Garden Coffee Bean Roasting Factory, visitors can observe the charcoal roasting method that Nanbanya has been perfecting since it was established.
Ogino Athletics Park
The 16-hectare Ogino Athletics Park is a popular recreational center for residents of all ages and genders. The park also has a wildflower garden rich in nature, and is great as a strolling course.

Kanagawa Prefectural Natural Environment Conservation Center
The Kanagawa Prefectural Natural Environment Conservation Center has an exhibit about the wildlife of Tanzawa Oyama and surrounding communities. The outdoor area has wetlands, woods and other areas where people can enjoy the seasonal wildlife of the forest.
Kanagawa Prefecture General Disaster Prevention Center
The Kanagawa Prefecture General Disaster Prevention Center has a section where visitors can experience earthquakes, windstorms, floods and other disasters, as well as exhibits providing various disaster preparedness information. It is a very interesting facility, especially for children who are conducting independent school science projects.
Kanagawa Institute of Technology Atsugi City Children's Science Museum

Site of Atsugi Ferry
Along the Sagami River, a bit upstream from Ayumi Bridge, is the site of Atsugi Ferry. The site has stone monuments indicating that it is a ferryboat dock as well as one that commemorates the visit of Watanabe Kazan, an Edo Period painter.
Old 'Minka' Folk House:Kishi House
Built in 1891, Kishi House is a two-story wooden house with a tiled, hipped roof. It is designated an Atsugi City Tangible Cultural Property.
Iiyama Kannon (Kannon at Chokokuji Temple)
Kannon Hall of Chokokuji Temple, the sixth temple on the Bando 33 Kannon Pilgrimage, has a pyramidal copper-shingle roof and is designated as an Atsugi City Tangible Cultural Property. Widely known as the "Kannon of Matchmaking," it is a tourist attraction for young people.
Ogama Benzaiten
Located beside the upper reaches of the Osawa River, Ogama Benzaiten is a shrine dedicated to the god Benzaiten as a place to pray for rain. It is named "Ogama" (Giant Cauldron) because the waterfall basin is shaped like a cauldron. It is a sacred spot with great spiritual significance.
Atsugi Onsen Kyo (Iiyama Area)
At the foot of Mount Iiyamahakusan is Iiyama Onsen, one of the hot springs of Atsugi Onsen Kyo. Nearby is Iiyama Kannon (Chokokuji Temple), famous for its cherry blossoms, and Iiyamahakusan Forest Park, which is a beautiful sight in autumn. Enjoy hot springs and fine cuisine in a ryokan (Japanese-style inns) surrounded by lush nature.
Atsugi Onsen Kyo (Nanasawa Area)
Nanasawa is situated on the eastern slope of Mount Oyama. Nanasawa Onsen, Kotakuji Onsen and Kabuto-yu Onsen-part of Atsugi Onsen Kyo and offering waters known to be good for your skin-are located here. The foothills are lined with tranquil ryokan, creating a calm atmosphere.
