I would like to know the process from submitting an application to Select Kanagawa NEXT to receiving a subsidy.
The process from the receipt of the application after the preliminary consultation to the granting of a subsidy is as follows.
- 1 During the preliminary consultation, we will ask about the details of your business plan.
- 2 Applications must be submitted prior to the start of the project (generally by the day before the date of contract for the land, building, etc.).
- 3 A panel of outside experts will review the business plan and other materials.
- 4 Projects are approved within approximately 10 days of the review committee meeting, and a press release will be issued on the approval day to announce that the project has been certified.

The company must begin operation within five years from the day after the date of approval.
Applicants must submit a notification of commencement of operations within 30 days of the start of operations.
The day of the start of operations is the date on which the payment of the investment based on the business plan is completed and the planned number of employees is secured. - 6 Applicants are required to submit a completion report as soon as possible after the start of operations. Thereafter, a completion inspection (on-site inspection) will be conducted on the implementation status of the project.
- 7 After the completion inspection, applicants are required to submit an application for grant of subsidy within one year from the start of operation.
- 8 A decision regarding subsidy grant will be made, and a grant notification decision form will be issued for projects receiving grants. The amount of subsidies granted will be paid in equal installments over a period of 10 years.
- 9 In accordance with the grant notification decision form, applicants are required to submit an invoice for the subsidy for the relevant fiscal year.
- 10 Subsidies will be granted.
