Sunflower fields
These fields have over 550,000 sunflowers, the most in the Tokyo metropolitan area. The Zama City Sunflower Festival, featuring booths selling cut sunflowers, agricultural products and other specialties, is held in mid-August when the sunflowers are in full bloom.
8月中旬に、首都圏随一の規模を誇る55万本のひまわりが咲き誇ります。
同時期に「座間市ひまわりまつり」を開催しており、模擬店の出店、ひまわりの切花、農産物や特産品の販売などが行われ、毎年多くの来場者で賑わっています。
