Collaboation with "Cells at Work"
Think about Your Body and Danger of Drugs

“Industrialization of regenerative medicine and cell therapy” and “prevention of drug abuse” are among the key programs Kanagawa Prefectural Government (K.P.G.) is promoting.  To convey these concepts in a more easy-to-understand manner, we are conducting a promotion in collaboration with “Cells at Work”, a popular manga.

Cells at Work is a manga series describing numerous personified cells working and fighting against bacteria in human body.  It is a mega hit series which has been published over 10 million copies in total, and made into an anime, too.  The manga teaches the structure of human body to us making it easy to understand, and is favored by a wide generation.  Young people can feel familiar with the roles of cells through the manga, which is utilized as a teaching material at school.

In this collaboration program, K.P.G. is distributing flyers carrying the characters of Cells at Work, who introduce K.P.G.’s promotions of regenerative medicine explaining “what is regenerative medicine/cell therapy?”.

The characters appear on K.P.G.’s website introducing regenerative medicine and cell therapy until Mon., March 31, 2025.

As for drug abuse prevention, 15-second message videos featuring the characters are shown before the start of movies at three theaters in the prefecture, namely, T-Joy Yokohama, Yokohama Burg 13 and TOHO Cinemas Ebina from March 7 to 20, 2025.  This video message can also be seen on “Kana-chan TV”, the official YouTube channel of K.P.G. until March 31.

The characters also appear on “no drug abuse” promotion flyers and articles distributed at the campaign activities on the street.

We hope this collaboration will be an opportunity for people of young generation to start thinking about their own health and danger of drugs.  Please have a look at our website and the video.
