 "Footprint of Godzilla" Set up
  in the Renovated Tatara Beach Observation Square

The popular movie “Godzilla” celebrated its 70th anniversary last year.   In the first movie in the series released back in 1954, an announcement is made that Godzilla is moving in the sea off Kannonzaki.  This is the reason why the character has been loved in this area for so long.  In conjunction with the recent renovation work of Tatara Beach Observation Square located in Kanagawa Prefectural Kannonzaki Park, a monument in the shape of Godzilla’s footprint was set up in the square.  It is a “genuine thing” created with permission of TOHO Co., Ltd., the film company that produced Godzilla!  Why don’t you go out to the renovated park and see the size of the footprint of Godzilla, which has been loved by the local community for many years?

リニューアルした「たたら浜展望広場」に「ゴジラの足跡」出現

人気映画「ゴジラ」は昨年誕生70周年を迎えました。昭和29年（1954年）に公開された第１作の「ゴジラ」において、観音崎沖の海中をゴジラが移動する、というアナウンスが流れます。このことがきっかけで、観音崎ではゴジラが愛され続けています。神奈川県立観音崎公園内にある「たたら浜展望広場」では、この度、リニューアル工事に併せて、ゴジラの足跡のモニュメントが設置されました。ゴジラを製作した映画会社、東宝株式会社の許諾を得てつくられた「ほんもの」です！きれいになった公園にお出かけし、この地で愛され続けてきたゴジラの足跡の大きさを確かめてみてはいかがでしょう。
