About Kanagawa Committee for Foreign National Residents
The Kanagawa Committee for Foreign National Residents was created in 1998 as a forum for foreign national residents of Kanagawa to investigate issues and problems they themselves face as residents of the prefecture, and present those findings and solutions to Kanagawa’s Governor. The current committee was formed in January 2023, and will deliver its findings to the Governor in the winter of 2024.
We are currently drafting proposals that will allow foreign residents of Kanagawa to live comfortably and easily. Our proposals are drafted by three study groups: ①Information ②Next Generation and Education ③Social Welfare. We look forward to hearing the opinions of the public about the Committee’s current draft proposals to Kanagawa’s Governor.
