I live in a share house in Aobadai, Kanagawa Prefecture. Here, I can feel the kindness of locals. I happened to meet some residents when I went to Japanese language school in the morning, and we exchanged greetings, saying "Have a nice day" to each other. I watched soccer games and went hiking with the locals, creating wonderful memories. I never felt like a foreigner; it feels like I’ve lived in Kanagawa for a long time.

At school, I was able to experience not only Japanese culture, but also the cultures of many countries. I met classmates from Europe, America, and Asia. Everyone spoke Japanese and talked about their favorite anime, games, music, and more. It felt like I was in a United Nations classroom. The memory of living here will stay as a treasure in my life.

Before coming to Japan, as a Chinese person, the most famous place in Yokohama for me was Yokohama's Chinatown. I was anxious about the new environment, so I was very happy to find a place that reminded me of my home country.

A year and a half have passed since I came to Japan, and I still live in Kanagawa Prefecture. The reason is that Kanagawa is not only home to glamorous tourist areas, but is also rich in nature and has a sense of ancient history. I also think that the convenient transportation, abundant nature, the community that connects foreigners with Japanese people are reasons why it is a pleasant place for foreigners to live in Japan.
