Suzuhiro Kamaboko Museum

A museum established inside the “Suzuhiro Kamaboko no Satou” facility. This musuem has a display that you can learn about the history of Kamaboko(Fish Cakes) and other mysteries, including explainations of the nutritional values raw food products and other materials while having fun. After observing a Kamaboko craftsman’s work, you can try making it yourself. The entrance fee is free of charge but materials which are required for the handmade kamaboko hands-on activity starts from 500 yen. If you would like to try making a Komaboko, please make a reservation first from the website.

About 10 minutes by taxi from JR Odawara Line 「Odawara」station. Directly connected to Hakone Tozan Line 「Kazamatsuri」station. By car: Take a 「Hakoneguchi IC」exit on Odawara-Atsugi Road, go forward to Odawara on national Route 1 about 500 m.
