Odawara・Minato no Asaichi(Morning Market)
(Minato no Asaichi) where you can buy fish freshly caught from the Odawara Fishing Port with the market price, will be held 2 times in a month. Not only fish and shells, but there are also boiled fish paste(a famous Odawara delicacy), dried fish, fruits and vegetables are sold there too. During rush hour, it is really crowded so numbered tickets have to be distributed from 6 in the morning. During the cold seasons, anglerfish, flatfish and Pacific flying squid are available. From spring to summer it is said that horse mackerel are at their most delicious during that time. There is a restaurant in front of the market too so please drop by after taking a tour of the market.
