The museum of art opened in 2007 in a rich natural Kannonzaki Park for celebrating 100th anniversary of the municipal system of Yokosuka City.
Not only a variety of exhibitions held 6 times a year, there is a Collection exhibition chosen from 5,000 items of Japan’s famous modern arts such as art works of artists who are associated with Miura peninsula in Yokosuka, and Rokuro Taniuchi’s works, well-known for Shukan Shincho covers, which makes you feel nostalgic atmosphere are also exhibiting permanently.
Yokosuka Museum of Art located in a splendid Kannonzaki Park is known as the Scenic Art Museum. In the past, it was once rated as top-ranking of Japan’s Most Scenic Art Museum also.
A beautiful scenery outside the museum facing Tokyo Bay and surrounded by nature is the best photography spot of Miura Peninsula as well.
Moreover, there are Facilities Complex such as “ACQUAMARE”, an Italian restaurant where a famous chef is working as an executive chef, and a museum shop selling plenty of stylish items.

Access
(Train) - Take a bus bound for Kannonzaki from Maborikaigan Station on the Keikyu Line, get off at La Vista Kannonzaki Terrace, Yokosuka Museum of Art (approximately 10 minutes), then walk for 2 minutes.
- Take a bus bound for Kannonzaki from Uraga Station on the Keikyu Line, get off at the last stop Kannonzaki (approximately 15 minutes), then walk for approx. 5 minutes.
- Take a bus bound for Kannonzaki from JR Yokosuka Station, get off at La Vista Kannonzaki Terrace, Yokosuka Museum of Art (approximately 35 minutes), then walk for approx. 2 minutes.
(Car) 3km from Maborikaigan IC on the Yokohama-Yokosuka Toll Road(approx.5 min.)
