Yokosuka
Hashirimizu Water source
This is the birthplace of Yokosuka’s water supply that was built in 1876, under the direction of French engineer Verny who built Yokosuka Shipyard, and is the only water source in Yokosuka city.
Approximately 120 cherry trees planted in the site are bloomingly blossoming enough to call “cherry-blossom tunnel” in the cherry-blossom season. These cherry blossom trees are looking towards Tokyo Bay, so the blue colored sea and the cherry “pink” Contrast is worth a look.
