Miura
Jogashima Park
This park occupies the southernmost tip of the Miura Peninsula and the east half of Jogashima. These unique meadows produce sunlight through the strong winds from the Pacific Ocean, and downpours. Most of the plants are short, but the black pines avoid the wind and lean towards the middle of the island and grow quite long. The marine cliff in the west part of the park is the habitat of the prefecture’s designated protected species, the Japanese cormorant. From the middle of January to the middle of February you can see 100 thousand multilayered daffodils.
