Yugawara Art Museum
Art museum where renovated old-fashioned inn Ryokan Museums Major artists of modern Japanese paintings – Takeuchi Susumu and Ito Shinsui, works of Yukari Yugawara paintings and works by Contemporary Japanese painter · Reiji Hiramatsu are exhibited.
In October, 2006, “Hiramatsu Reiji-kan” which displays works of painter Hiramatsu Reiji paintings active at the forefront of the Japanese painting art was established and together with the “permanent building” which displays the collections, the name of the hall itseld. It was then renewed and opened with changing to the town municipality Yugawara Art Museum.
In the Japanese garden next to the museum, surrounded by natural mountains, you can enjoy the views of the seasons, such as cherry blossoms, fresh green and autumn leaves. In addition, in the pond of the garden, Hiramatsu painter raises precious “Monet’s lily lot stock” which was handed down from Monet Foundation.
