Firefly Festival
In the pristine waters of Yugawara, a prestigious early summer event will be held where Genji fireflies dance by the water's edge.
The fireflies at Manyo Park are raised in a "firefly hut" within the park until they reach the larval stage, and then released in early March. Afterward, you can enjoy watching the naturally emerging fireflies.
In addition, many wild fireflies inhabit the Fujiki River, Chitose River, and Shinzaki River, allowing you to enjoy fireflies throughout Yugawara town during the event period.
Why not enjoy a magical moment as fireflies dance among the trees in the darkness?
