"Shio Kagura" will be held

“Shio Kagura” will be held on June 16th.
The fishermen’s ceremony “Ushio Kagura,” a tradition that has been handed down since the Edo period, will be held here.
Ushio Kagura is held every year on June 16th, and as an event in which Yutate Kagura is dedicated to pray for safety at sea and bountiful catches, it has been designated an intangible folk cultural asset of Hayama Town.
This year’s grand ceremony, which takes place once every five years, will see a boat carrying the adorable Princess Otohime cross the sea to pay homage to Ryugu-sama on Najima.
