Introducing Kanagawa's "Stay-type" Cycling Routes

stamprally    Kanagawa Prefectural Government is promoting cycling tourism making use of its abundant natural environment to boost regional vitalization through sports.  To encourage tourists to travel across a wide area visiting many spots, we created “stay-type cycling routes” suggesting overnight stay in the prefecture.

The plans include six routes, ranging from a beginner course that can be enjoyed on a rental bike to advanced courses for experienced riders running at a high speed on a road bike.  You can choose a course depending on your physical condition and purpose.  We are suggesting plans including accommodations so that you can take your time and fully enjoy cycling around Kanagawa.

The beginner course along the Shonan Beach starts from JR Chigasaki Station, goes 34.1km through the Southern Beach and Enoshima Island looking over the ocean, reaching JR Ofuna Station.  Hakone course, the longest of the advanced courses, is 101.5 km.  It starts at JR Odawara Station, goes through spots with beautiful natural sceneries such as Hakone-en, Lake Ashino-ko and Daikanzan observatory, and returns to Odawara Station.  Details of the courses are posted on Rurubu+.
