Introducing Invest Kanagawa One-Stop Service
The Kanagawa Prefectural Government offers a wide variety of assistance to support foreign companies start their business in the prefecture.
The government not only provides general information and advice but has also offers a free temporary office space and continues to provide foreign companies with an enriched post-startup support scheme, including official PR activities and follow-up services.
Kanagawa Global Business Center(KGC)
Kanagawa Prefectural Government has created and operates the Kanagawa Global Business Center (KGC), an international business promotion and support base located on the second floor of the Industry & Trade Center in the urban center of Yokohama City.
This facility provides very powerful support for foreign companies aiming to start business in Kanagawa or make secondary investments in prefecture.

IBSC Kanagawa supports foreign companies to start business in Kanagawa
IBSC Kanagawa is the first business-support facility jointly established by JETRO, the Kanagawa Prefectural Government, and the local municipal governments of Yokohama and Kawasaki.
The center opened in April 2004 and provides temporary office facilities to foreign companies looking to enter the Japanese market, or to foreign companies already established in Japan that are expanding into Kanagawa Prefecture.
The facility also has an expert advisor on duty to provide a variety of support for foreign companies seeking to set up business entities within Kanagawa.

- Advise how to participate in the market.
- Provide information relating to national and local laws and regulations, various standards, procedures for obtaining permits and authorizations, and incentives.
- Conduct cost simulations.
- Introduce licensed experts, such as licensed tax accountants, administrative consultants.
- Support with procedures for incorporation.
- Support to search for rental and lease office properties.
- Support with staffing and employment issues.

Whenever a foreign company starts business in Kanagawa with prefectural support, the Prefectural Government issues a press release.

Support follow-up services
Kanagawa Prefecture hosts follow-up seminars for foreign companies and foreign-affiliated corporations in the prefecture. These seminars promote business success by strengthening and expanding local business ties.
