As an official cultural programme of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the Tokyo 2020 NIPPON Festival "ONE - Our New Episode - Presented by Japan Airlines", Our Glorious Future ~KANAGAWA 2021~ will be held online with the theme of "towards an inclusive society".

The programme will present works of culture and art such as dance, theatre, media art, music and crafts by leading artists with a connection to Kanagawa Prefecture.
By adapting the content originally planned for the venues (Momijigaoka Cultural Zone, Yokohama City, etc.) for video works and streaming them online, we believe that people in Japan and abroad will be able to enjoy the appeal of culture and art from Kanagawa Prefecture.

In Kanagawa Prefecture, we are working towards the realisation of a sustainable community in which each individual's Vibrant INOCHI through the power of culture and the arts, such as through the "Co-existence and Co-creation programme" project, in which all people, regardless of age or disability, or other hinderances, can participate in and enjoy the performing arts.

We were able to successfully hold the Olympic Games in Tokyo, which had been scheduled to be held in 2020, but were postponed for the first time in history due to the novel coronavirus outbreak on a global scale.

Now, the Tokyo 2020 Organising Committee are launching the Tokyo 2020 NIPPON Festival with the aims of overcoming the difficulties caused by the novel coronavirus and contributing to the realisation of a peaceful society.

The co-hosting of this programme with Kanagawa Prefecture, with which we are also collaborating in the management of the Games, is very important as an initiative to create a movement of "diversity and harmony", which is one of the concepts of the Games, and to pass it on as a legacy.
