Sake Characteristics

Founded in 1870, Ishii Jouzou is located near Soga Plum Grove in Odawara, which makes famous Umeboshi (pickled plum), and has a wonderful view and warm climate. Many tourists visit the brewery in the plum blossom season, as it is also the season when the new sake is finished. The characteristics of their sake brewing is “four-step fermentation”.
