Kanagawa Gender Equality Center： KANA TERRACE
Kanagawa Women’s Center changes its name to KANA TERRACE (Kanagawa Gender Equality Center) on April 1st, 2015 and restarts at a prefectural building in Fujisawa.
WHAT WE DO
As one of anchor facilities based in Kanagawa prefecture which promotes gender equality, Kanagawa Gender Equality Center sets its policy of operation to:
- exert expertness and leadership
- transmit information based on achievements in Kanagawa Women’s Center
- support governmental city/town offices in a cooperative framework
HOW WE WORK
1 Fostering of human resources
The Center aims to foster human resources in many areas to promote gender equality providing programs to support women’s social participation and career development. It has programs for men/youth, corporations and municipal personnel.
The Center provides consultation on domestic violence as Spousal Violence Counseling and Support Center and also provides consultation on dating violence.
3 Research and study
The Center gathers data for policymaking and study for gender equality. It analyzes data of corporations under the prefectural ordinance for promotion of gender equality.
4 Informing and raising awareness
The Center raises awareness and provides information of gender equality through our programs, seminars, information service, homepage and visiting corporations.
Tuesday to Friday: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. (to 5 p.m. for information service counter)
Saturday and Sunday: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
It is generally closed on every Mondays and national holidays.
